How to setup Opening Balance ?

  1. Go to Import Customer / Supplier List
  2. import your customer’s account and supplier’s account
  3. Import the opening balance. Get a copy of your closing Trail Balance. EXAMPLE:  If your closing period is on 31 Dec 2016,  Import the opening balance to YEAR 2016 MONTH Dec, Since Accountsbox does not require to do year end closing, it will pick up your Dec 2016 balance as Jan 2017 opening balance automatically.
  4. If you want t0 split the Customer balance with outstanding invoices, do not import the customer balance in step 3 above. Use the Import Customer / Supplier List – > Customer Invoice Opening Balance  page to create all your outstanding opening invoices.
